Say Hello to Our Venerated People of Letters
Clifford Bugle – Editor/Head Writer
Cliff attended Monmouth University for two years, majoring in communications and journalism, and minoring in film. He then transferred to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he graduated in 2009 with a BA in Cinema Studies and minor in English and American literature. He wrote movie reviews on and off for both schools’ student newspapers, winning Outstanding Entertainment Writer 2006/2007 for the Monmouth Outlook, and was the only undergraduate to present an essay at NYU’s 2009 Cinema Studies Student Conference. He is currently finishing his MA in Professional Writing at Towson University. His interests include sitting, cake, boring people with useless information, and driving aimlessly.
Marisa Carpico – Contributor
Marisa graduated from New York University’s College of Arts and Sciences in 2010 with a BA in Cinema Studies and Journalism, and minor in French. She also writes about film for her blogs The Tuna Review and the Tuna Quest. She has also reported on film for Us Weekly and interned for the Entertainment Section at Metro: New York.
Dan Supanick – Contributor
Dan graduated from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County in 2011 with a BA in Visual Arts, with a concentration in Film/Video. He wrote film criticism for the school’s student newspaper for two years. Before that, he wrote criticism as a personal hobby. Dan also makes his own films, and has been featured in such festivals as the Rosebud Film Festival and the DC Shorts Film Festival. No, he will not dance at your bachelorette party, so stop asking. However, he does accept cash payments via the waistband of his underwear.
Jacob “Jake” DeCoursey – Contributor
Jake hails from Middle River, Maryland and is currently finishing up his BA in English at Towson University, where he plans to continue his education for his MS in Professional Writing. Currently, he divides his time between working as a writing tutor, writing for Movie-Thoughts, and submitting story manuscripts to any literary magazine he can. His fiction has somehow found its way into publications like Grub Street, MicroHorror.com, and the award winning magazine Not One of Us. When he’s not writing, Jake likes warm cookies, local music, Charlie Chaplin movies, the smell of the ocean, and staring at fast-moving clouds as they smear across the sky.
